Neo-Vista

The Neo Vista is a portable vein illumination device for neonates and babies. When activated it displays a map of the vasculature on the surface of the skin, allowing clinicians to verify patency and avoid valves or bifurcations.

It is a more effective venepuncture procedure, with less patient discomfort, resulting in higher patient satisfaction and ensuring shorter procedure time.

Usage Instructions

Important:  Please read all the instructions, warnings and information below carefully, ensuring that you fully understand them prior to using the Neo-Vista transilluminator.

1.    Insert the batteries into the compartment of the Neo-Vista.

2.    To activate, press the On/Off button.

3.    Hold the Neo-Vista or put on a flat surface and place the palm of the patient’s hand over the LED of the device.

4.    Dimming the room lights will aid in detection using the Neo-Vista.

5.    Insert the IV-Catheter then switch off the Neo-Vista.

N.B. The patient’s fingers can be draped over the Neo-Vista in order to stretch the skin, so assisting with the location of veins.

Information:  

1.    Replace old batteries with new AA type batteries once exhausted, it is recommended that both batteries are replaced at the same time.

2.    To clean the Neo-Vista, please refer to the relevant hospital’s regulations and protocols that apply.

3.    Once the Neo-Vista in no longer operational i.e. LED display faulty and/or On/Off switch broken, ensure disposal is achieved according to the hospital’s guidelines.
